As the nation braces for the third phase of elections scheduled for May 7, 2024, all eyes turn towards the coastal state of Goa, where preparations are in full swing for the impending democratic exercise. With a substantial electorate of 1,179,344, the fate of candidates hangs in the balance, awaiting the verdict of the voters.

North Goa registered voters, 580,577 with 299,088 females and 281,486 males. Conversely, South Goa boasts 598,767 voters, with 308,627 females and 290,131 males. The state hosts 607,715 female voters and 571,617 male voters across both constituencies.

Additionally, pertinent statistics reveal 9,423 Persons with Disabilities (PWD) electors, 28,042 voters aged 18-19 years, 11,502 electors aged 85 and above, and 84 overseas electors.

However, amidst the preparations, concerns over deleted voters arose, with 7,544 individuals removed from the electoral rolls. The distribution of deleted electors highlights 3,386 from North Goa and 4,158 from South Goa, reflecting various reasons such as expired, repeated, disqualified, missing, or shifted electors.

The Chief Electoral Office, Goa, has meticulously arranged 1,725 polling stations across the state to facilitate a seamless voting process. Among these, 863 are stationed in North Goa and 862 in South Goa, ensuring convenient access to voting for all eligible citizens.
