Goa gets 18th installment of GST

PANJIM: The Union Finance Ministry disbursed Rs 30.49 crore to Goa as part of the 18th installment to meet the shortfall in Goods and Services Tax compensation (GST) owed to the States.  

This was part of the Rs 4,000 crore released to the States. So far, an amount of Rs 83.8 crore has been raised through the special window passed on the States/Union Territories (UTs).

Till now, 94 per cent of the total estimated GST compensation shortfall has been released to the States and UTs with the Legislative Assembly. 

Out of this, an amount of Rs 95,138.08 crore has been released to the States and an amount of Rs 8,861.92 crore has been released to the three UTs with the Legislative Assembly.

Eight rounds of borrowings have been completed so far starting from October 23, 2020.
