PANJIM: CMR Surgical Ltd announced that Goa Robotic Surgery Centre has become the first hospital in the State to procure Versius, a next-generation surgical robotic system. It was inaugurated by Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Saturday at Dona Paula. Also present were Revenue Minister Jennifer A. Monserrate, Dean of Goa Medical College Dr Shivanand Bandekar, renowned laparoscopic surgeon Dr Shailesh Puntambekar and Dr Nita Varti and gynecologist and fertility experts Dr Kedar and Dr Jayashri Padte.
A range of surgical procedures have already been conducted using Versius at the newly-established Goa Robotic Surgery Centre under the leadership of renowned Gynaecologist, Obstetrician and IVF Specialist Dr Kedar Padte.
The aim has always been to make the benefits of minimal access surgery available to everyone in need. CMR Surgical is associated with some of the best hospitals from the respective regions across the country. With their headquarters based in Goa since the beginning they have always wanted to put this beautiful state on the map of the healthcare sector of India. It could also play a role in medical tourism.

Dr Kedar Padte is one of Goa’s most renowned Gynaecologists and Obstetricians who has been consulting in his field of experience since 1981. Dr Padte has treated over 40,000 patients of infertility in 32 years with over 17,000 pregnancies. He has delivered more than 1,000 IVF babies till date.
