Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has announced the approval of the revised Goa Shack Policy for 2023. In contrast to the previous allocation ratio of 90-10, the government has adopted a new approach. Under the amended policy, shacks will be distributed as follows:
– 10% of shacks will be allocated to inexperienced operators.
– 10% will be reserved for individuals with 1-4 years of experience.
– The bulk of the allocation, comprising 80%, will be directed towards operators with 5 or more years of experience.
This adjustment in policy aims to prioritize more seasoned shack operators while still allowing opportunities for those who are newer to the industry.
