Goa govt removes ‘Samaj’ certificate rule for caste certificates

The Goa government has scrapped the need for a ‘Samaj’ certificate while applying for a caste certificate. Earlier, applicants were required to submit a Samaj certificate issued by their respective OBC community associations through the GoaOnline portal. As per a notification dated September 30, the change has come into immediate effect.
