The Goa High Court has scheduled the next hearing on the suo motu PIL related to illegal constructions statewide for November 13. During today’s proceedings, Advocate General Pangam noted that the recent enactment of three laws addressing structures on Communidade land, government land, and the regularisation of such constructions could impact the enforcement of the Court’s demolition orders. The High Court has directed the Goa government, along with the amicus curie, to devise modalities to accurately report compliance. The government will compile the data and prepare a detailed note or synopsis for submission in court.
