Speaking at a public meeting held at the Lohia Maidan, here, she said, “The people who don’t agree with Sanatan ideology are its enemies and the enemies of the country is what it preaches.”
“If the people unite against these elements then the Government too will have to wake up and initiate action against them, she added”
Earlier, the “Sankalp Yatra” procession, which commenced from Ravindra Bhavan later culminated with a public meeting at the Lohia Maidan, which marked the kick off of the Dakshinayan Abhiyan.
The public meeting was also addressed by Hameed Dabholkar, Shrivijay Kalburgi, Atamjit Singh, Prashant Naik, Dhanaji Gurav, Uttam Parmar, K Neela, Manishi Jani Raosaheb Kasbe and others.
Raising the 2009 Margao bomb blast issue at the meeting, the speakers said that if the masterminds of the blast were arrested then Comrade Govind Pansare, Narendra Dabholkar and Kalburgi would have been alive.
“Don’t sentence the accused by hanging them to death, instead sentence them to work for the same mission for which Pansare, Dabholkar and Kalburgi sacrificed their lives,” said Hamid Dabholkar, son of late Narayan Dabholkar.
The trail of the murders of all the three rationalists was found to be linked to that of the masterminds of the 2009 Margao bomb blast. If these masterminds were arrested in 2009 then we would have never lost our comrades,” Dabholkar added.
Meanwhile, a session on patriotism, nationalism and humanism was chaired by Amrut Kansar, Rajdeep Sardessai, Swati Joshi and Satyendra Sonar.
Rajdeep Sardessai called upon the all the forces opposing the Central Government to unite. He said “There is a rift between Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh. If these two parties come together the election is over and decided that the BJP can’t fight them together. Likewise in Goa, if Congress, Goa Forward and Aam Aadmi Party come together then the election is decided, the BJP won’t be able to stand the pressure,” he added.
