Music legend and Padma Shree Shankar Mahadevan described Goa as a cultural hub that needs academic facilities to nurture musical talents. He emphasized that music shouldn’t be considered an extracurricular activity and there is a need to set up a musical academy. Mahadevan added that there are no facilities in Goa to learn music and Goa needs facilities of a level where Indian and international students can come and learn music. Mahadevan was speaking at Gera School’s ‘Meet the legend’ series.
