Goa Pavilion showcases Regenerative Tourism concepts at Arabian Travel Market in Dubai

PANJIM: The Department of Tourism showcased the State’s sustainable tourism initiatives at the prestigious Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Dubai 2024, held from May 6 to 9, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), UAE.

Indian Ambassador to the UAE, Sanjay Sudhir, alongside Director of Tourism and Managing Director of GTDC, Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Shawn Mendes, OSD to Tourism Minister and Assistant Tourist Officer Chitra Vengurlekar, and other key officials inaugurated the Goa Pavilion.

The Goa Pavilion captivated visitors with its innovative initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable tourism practices, along with offering a comprehensive glimpse beyond the beaches into Goa’s diverse offerings. From hinterland exploration to spiritual tourism, the pavilion showcased Regenerative Tourism concepts, the Ekadasha Teertha circuit with all 11 temples, and insights into the upcoming St Francis Xavier Exposition.

Furthermore, visitors had the opportunity to explore Goa’s idyllic settings for destination weddings, state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure for hosting corporate events, conferences, and exhibitions, positioning the region as an ideal MICE destination in the global market. Interacting with the dynamic Goan diaspora bolstered Goa’s standing as a leading sustainable tourism destination, further solidifying its position in the industry.
