Goa Police Detain Congress Youth Leaders During Protest March to CM’s Altinho Residence

Goa Police on Wednesday detained several Congress Youth leaders who attempted to take out a protest march towards the Chief Minister’s residence at Altinho, demanding answers on rising unemployment, increasing crime, and alleged illegal activities in the state.

The protestors were stopped by the police as they tried to proceed towards the CM’s residence, citing security concerns and prohibitory orders in the area. The youth leaders alleged that the state government has failed to address key issues affecting young people, including lack of employment opportunities and growing law-and-order problems.

According to police sources, the detentions were preventive in nature to avoid any untoward incident. The detained protestors were later released after being warned against violating public order.

Congress Youth leaders stated that their agitation was aimed at highlighting public grievances and said they would continue to raise these issues through democratic means until the government responds with concrete action.
