Goa police tighten security for Amit Shah’s Mapusa meeting

MAPUSA:  BJP workers held detailed discussions on the arrival of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to address a public meeting on May 3, at the new bus stand in Mapusa. The meeting included various government authorities and law enforcement agencies to put in place a comprehensive security setup ahead of the Union Home Minister’s visit.

Speaking to the media, Siddharth Kuncalienker, informed that security arrangements for the high-profile event will involve a large contingent of personnel from the police department, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Armed Reserve Mobile (ARM) forces, fire services, CID, KTC officials, district collectors, Block Development Officers (BDOs), as well as senior police officials such as the Superintendent of Police (SP) for traffic and north Goa.

Additionally, full LED screens and high-functioning cameras have been installed to closely monitor the proceedings
