PANJIM: Goa on Friday recorded fresh 79 Coronavirus cases with a positivity rate of 9.4 per cent while there was no fatality.
These new cases were detected from 836 samples tested. With 92 patients recovering during the last 24 hours the active caseload of the State stood at 467. The recovery rate recorded was 98.28 per cent. One patient was hospitalised while, 78 patients were under home isolation and there were no deaths due to Covid-19 infection, according to a bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services, Panjim.
Meanwhile, the total number of doses administered to beneficiaries above 18 yrs was 25,27,304 till Thursday. Of these 13,12,291 were given the first dose and 12,05,013 were the second dose. Also, the total number of doses given to children between 12-14 yrs were 69,150; between 15-17 yrs the number of doses given were 1,31,058 and precautionary doses were given to 78,731 persons aged 60 yrs and above.
