Goa records 80 new cases Covid-19

New 79 patients are under home isolation and one patient is hospitalised.

PANJIM: The State recorded 80 new Coronavirus cases from 1,284 samples tested thereby registering a positive rate of 6.23 per cent on Wednesday.

With 135 recovering during the last 24 hours the active caseload in the State stood at 682. The recovery rate was 98.16 per cent. 

New 79 patients are under home isolation and one patient is hospitalised. With 80 new cases, the cumulative cases rose to 2,51,688. The total death toll in the State was 3949.

Meanwhile, the Goa government is creating adequate awareness by appealing to the people to avail of free booster doses available at all the PHCs, CHCs and government hospitals. Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has said that the free booster dose drive will continue until September 30.
