Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met Team Tech Infinity – Goa, which has been selected to represent Team India at the FIRST Global Challenge 2026 in Incheon, South Korea.
The international robotics competition, often described as the “Olympics of robotics,” will bring together teams from 194 countries, providing the Goan students with an opportunity to showcase their skills on the global stage.

Sawant congratulated team members Anam Raza, Avaneesh Phadte, Dhruv Salgaonkar, Soham Redkar and Sparsh Verlekar on their selection and wished them success in the international competition.
The Chief Minister acknowledged the efforts of the students, along with the contribution of their teachers and mentors in preparing the team for the global event.
He also highlighted the support extended through the CARES Programme of the Goa Government, which has contributed towards encouraging students and promoting innovation and technological skills.
The participation of Team Tech Infinity – Goa will give the students an opportunity to compete with young robotics enthusiasts from across the world while representing both Goa and India at the international level.
