MARGAO: Upon a complaint filed by Goa Su-Raj Party’s South Goa candidate Savio Rodrigues that he has been receiving threatening calls, the Margao police have registered an offence for threatening by means of unanimous communication under sections 506 and 507 IPC against unknown person.
In his complaint, Savio stated that since 1.30 pm on April 3, he received calls from two land line numbers, wherein the person kept asking him if he was Savio.
He said that at 2.49 pm, the caller dialled from a mobile phone and threatened him in Hindi by saying “you are Savio, you think that you are smart, you want to break votes. We will break your legs.”
He mentioned that when he asked the called to identify himself, the latter threatened him with dire consequences if he continued campaigning.
