PANJIM: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of dry and scorching weather will prevail over the state of Goa. With the highest maximum temperature recorded at a scorching 34.6°C and the lowest minimum temperature at 26.2°C, Goans are bracing for a hot and humid week ahead. However, the only relief is that there maybe sporadic light rain and thunder to provide some respite from the heat between April 18 and 21.
As we approach the weekend, the weather pattern for Goa remains fairly consistent for the next two days, with little change predicted. Haze is expected in the mornings. From 18 April onwards, the state can expect dry weather, which will continue until April 22. The maximum temperature is not likely to fluctuate significantly in the next three days.

While the residents of Goa brace themselves for the impending heatwave, several parts of the country are also preparing for scorching temperatures.
