Goa to raise Rs 9,700 cr by selling securities

PANJIM: Goa is amongst those eight governments that will raise Rs 9,700 crore by selling securities on November 19, the Reserve Bank (RBI). Goa will be selling securities of Rs 200 crore. 
The auction will be conducted on the Reserve Bank of India Core Banking Solution (E-Kuber) system. “…State Governments have offered to sell securities by way of auction for an aggregate amount of Rs 9,700 crore (face value),” the central bank said in a notification issued on Thursday. 
“Government of Goa hereby notifies the sale of Goa Government Stock (Securities) of 10-year tenure for an aggregate amount of Rs 200.00 crore (Nominal),” State Finance secretary Daulat Hawaldar said in the notification.
The other States include Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Union Territory Puducherry.
