PANJIM: In a fiscal update, it has been revealed that Goa is poised to receive a substantial share of Rs 4,708.37 crore from Union Taxes and duties as per the interim Budget Estimates for the year 2024-25. This marks a significant increase of Rs 445.02 crore compared to the allocation for the fiscal year 2023-24.
It is to be noted that Goa’s share of the net proceeds of union taxes and duties for the Revised Estimates (RE) of 2023-24 stood at Rs 4,263.35 crore.
Following the presentation of the Interim Budget by the Union Finance Minister, the Union Government released the statement showing the state-wise distribution of net proceeds of Union Taxes and Duties for Budget Estimates 2024-25.
