Goa will soon introduce the e-Zero-FIR system, enabling instant registration of cyber fraud complaints involving amounts up to ₹1 lakh through the national 1930 Cyber Crime Helpline, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced.
The initiative aims to strengthen citizen-first and cyber-safe policing by ensuring faster response, seamless case registration and complete accountability in handling cybercrime complaints. With e-Zero-FIR, victims of cyber fraud will no longer need to visit police stations to register complaints, significantly reducing delays in the initial stages of investigation.

According to the Chief Minister, the move will enhance the efficiency of law enforcement agencies in tackling the rising number of cybercrime cases and improve public trust in the system. The new mechanism is expected to allow immediate legal action, helping authorities trace and block fraudulent transactions at an early stage.
