PANJIM: The Department of Tourism will participate in the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF), India’s oldest and largest travel trade show network, scheduled at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan, Kolkata from July 12 to 14.
Goa Tourism seeks this platform to showcase its unique and diverse tourism offerings, aiming to attract travellers at the global level. The pavilion will feature an array of experiences, highlighting the state’s picturesque beaches, rich cultural heritage, adventure sports, and vibrant festivals, promising an unforgettable experience for every traveller.
Goa Tourism’s presentation at TTF will prominently feature sustainable initiatives under the Regenerative Tourism approach, focusing on hinterland exploration, heritage restoration, and spiritual tourism, Goa’s green tourism initiatives and sample local cuisine, while learning about the State’s efforts to preserve its natural and cultural heritage.
The visitors will also have the opportunity to seek information on the Ekadasha Teertha circuit, which includes 11 temples, and on the exposition of St Francis Xavier at the Basilica of Bom Jesus, Old Goa from November 21, 2024, until January 5, 2025.
“Participating in TTF 2024 provides us with a fantastic platform to highlight Goa’s cultural and natural beauty, and emphasise our commitment to sustainable tourism. The guest visiting the Goa Tourism stall will also get an opportunity to book Goa Tourism accommodation during the trade show,” said Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Director of Tourism and Managing Director of GTDC.
He added, “We aim to inspire visitors to choose Responsible Travel options that help preserve our environment and benefit our local communities.”
At the Goa Tourism Pavilion, visitors can look forward to interactive exhibits, engaging discussions, and immersive experiences that underscore the harmonious relationship between tourism and sustainability.
