Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has launched the Goa Ujjwala Scheme, under which eligible beneficiaries will receive financial assistance equivalent to the average cost of three domestic LPG refills per financial year.
Speaking at the launch, Sawant said around 2.5 lakh beneficiaries are expected to be covered in the first phase of the scheme.
The financial assistance will be transferred directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts, ensuring a direct and transparent payment mechanism.
The state government is working to initiate the first round of payments from September 9, providing financial support to eligible households towards their LPG refill expenses.
