Goa Union of Anganwadi Workers President Devyani Tamse falls ill

After 23 days of an indefinite hunger strike, the Goa Union of Anganwadi Workers President Devyani Tamse fell seriously ill on Friday morning. A 108 Ambulance was called for medical assistance at Azad Maidan, Panjim. Tamse refused to be shifted to a Hospital. The tired Anganwadi workers are left with no energy to speak and were sleeping. On Thursday night Tamse stated that the protesting Anganwadi workers had decided not to sign any undertaking and continued their demand for the unconditional revoking of their services.
