Goa University students’ council condemns NTA for creating anxiety among students

Say students losing focus on studies ahead of speculations of paper leaks and corruption; demand thorough CBI probe

PANJIM: The Goa University students’ council has condemned the NTA (National Testing Agency) for the irregularities and creating fear and anxiety among the student community across the country.

Goa University students’ council general secretary Sudip Naik on Saturday said that the news about NEET scam was ongoing and that NTA cancelled UGC NET exam a day it was conducted.

“Students were coming out from this trauma and that the NTA released another notice postponing CSIR NET exam until further notice. Such incidents were creating confusion in minds of students, who were trapped in these unnecessary problems. The students were losing their focus on studies ahead of speculations of paper leaks and corruption allegations on the agency, he said.

Naik demanded that a thorough investigation must be conducted by CBI against NTA regarding all examinations. But at the same time, there should be no compromise with the future of crores of student aspirants, who he said, were working hard to excel in the examinations. The Union Ministry of Education and CBI should take strict and prompt actions against all those found involved in the larger interest of students, he added.
