Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant issued a terse 10-second statement about Mhadei following the statement of Home Minister Amit Shah on Mhadei in poll-bound Karnataka. Pramod Sawant said, “Our legal fight is strong and you will see the results. We will work for the protection of Mhadei. I assure the people of Goa that my government will protect Goa’s interests”
Addressing an election rally in Karnataka, Home Minister Amit Shah said that the biggest congratulation should go to the Karnataka Leader and the CM of Karnataka for “taking the BJP Goa government along and for giving Mhadei water to quench the thirst of the parched land of Karnataka”. The Chief Minister of Karnataka has done great work, he said.
