They can also call and talk to Kejriwal through the phone number: 011-23392999 at the given time and date.
Those interested in sending questions can log in their questions on the website www.talktoak.com or send in their SMS on 8130344141.
“As you can see the main purpose was to interact with the people. Whoever was interested in having a dialogue from any part of the globe could have got in touch with Kejriwal. Asking questions to giving suggestions to sharing their problem, the main motive of this initiative was to take everyone along,” said Rupesh Shinkre, AAP Goa Media Coordinator.
“As we were expecting, a large number of people wanted to interact with Arvind Kejriwal, different avenues like, twitter, Facebook, website, sms number and calling number were made available to the people. Except the calling number, all the other avenues were open in advance so that people could ask questions in advance. As expected, the youth of the country among others, flooded with maximum number of questions,” Shinkre said.
Shinkre informed that Kejriwal got the idea of interacting with people through various platforms, during his interactions with the youth in Ponda.
On the July 17 youth event, Shinkre said, “The response was so overwhelming that the calling line got a bit overloaded briefly, but the other avenues worked without any issues. The calling line was restored immediately so that the dialogue could continue without any hassle. Secondly, the sms number was also converted to calling number so that people could pose their questions, suggestions etc to Kejriwal. The same information was tweeted and also mentioned in other social media so that the people are aware of additional avenue. The system was checked and double checked in advance and was made foolproof.”
“Arvind Kejriwal is known for taking everyone along. This is an attempt to add more and more people to discuss the ideas, problems etc through this campaign. Kejriwal through the website will connect with more and more people and thus take their ideas and share his views with them on several issues plaguing the society. The event won’t be a one way monologue, but rather a two-way dialogue,” added AAP Goa convener Rajashree Nagarsekar.
