MARGAO: GOACAN convenor Roland Martins on Wednesday said the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) is an unique concept to plan for the betterment of gram panchayats and can be achieved by taking into confidence the concerned authorities.
He was speaking at the GIPARD training programme on people’s plan campaign of Participatory Planning for GPDP-2022-23 at Matanhy Saldanha Administrative Complex for the Village Development Committees (VDC).
Convenors, sarpanchas and panchayat secretaries from 15 Salcete panchayats attended.
Martins said, “This is a new concept for the gram panchayats, wherein there are several components and one of them is central grant.”
