GoaMiles introduces special transportation service

PANJIM: GoaMiles, an initiative of Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) has come forward with organised transportation service for Goans during this COVID situation.

GoaMiles have now created a different pool of vehicles to provide services such as hospital transfers for COVID-19 patients. A special helpline 8888800405 number has been established where a dedicated team is on 24X7, and the passengers will be assigned vehicles based on their requirements.

In COVID related emergency situations, GoaMiles will help people to book rides for testing, patient hospital transfers, and vaccinations for the elderly and other groups. Additionally, GoaMiles have also started a free travel service for vaccination in Panjim.

The complete operation is monitored centrally, vehicles are well sanitised with nanoparticles coating, there is a plastic shield as the separation between driver and passenger and strict COVID-19 specific SOPs will be followed.

GoaMiles have received great support from various NGOs and welfare organisation like St John the Baptist and Goa Dimensions, Benaulim Quarantine Centre, CovidcareGoa, GoaForGiving etc.

GoaMIles CEO Utkarsh Dabaade informed that through the same helpline, the public at large may book rides for essential transport, routine checkups, and vaccinations as they have before. Safety guidelines as per protocol will be followed for such non-COVID requirements as well.
