Shetye informed them that he and 13 other friends were airlifted to safety from Nako to another place called Rec Kong Peo at Himachal Pradesh.
“On Monday at around 12.30 pm, an air force chopper airlifted them and shifted to a place called Poo. Later at around 2.30 pm, another chopper shifted them to their present at Rec Kong Peo in Himachal Pradesh,” a relative told Herald.
“Ashwin and his friends thanked the rescue team and all those who made efforts to move them to safety. Ashwin will fly to Goa tentatively on Thursday,” the relative added.
It may be recalled that Ashwin had left Kerala on June 14 for an adventure journey on a Royal Enfield to Ladak, but got stranded at a place called Nako due to the landslide in the region.
