PERNEM: The BJP government has cheated people across the nation with its “jumla” politics and fakery. The people of Goa have also realised the chicanery of the BJP government in State and hence people from across the State have started joining the Congress Party which has always delivered on its promises and have always upheld people’s sentiments, said Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girsh Chodankar.
Stating that doors of the Congress Party are permanently closed for all those who defected and changed sides for selfish gains, Chodankar said,” The BJP gave slogan of “Har Har Modi, Ghar Ghar Modi”, but in reality the BJP has delivered “Har Ghar Corona, Har Ghar Drugs, Har Ghar Financial Burdens.”
He alleged that the people of Goa have witnessed the blunted lies of 100 per cent open defecation free, 100 per cent electrification and 100 per cent water connections of the BJP. People are very well aware of how people are suffering due to water problems in the State.
Chodankar was speaking at the function organised by Mandrem Block Congress Committee wherein former Tuem sarpanch Sweta Naik along with members of five self-help groups joined the Congress Party, on Tuesday.
North Goa District Congress President Vijay Bhike, Mandrem Congress leaders Sachin Parab, General Secretary Narayan Redkar and Vithu Morajkar were also present.
“People are now joining Congress Party as we have never given any false promises to the people. Our government even took bold decision of scraping Regional Plan, Nylon 66 Project and SEZ projects respecting the sentiments of the public. We will keep up with our commitment to be the voice of the common man,” Chodankar said.
