Goa’s COVID-19 count touches 148 in 24 hrs

As per the data, no COVID-19 death was reported even as four patients were shifted to the hospital while the remaining 144 are in home isolation

PANJIM: The State on Wednesday saw a jump in the tally of COVID-19 cases from 112 to 148 within 24 hours amid more recoveries. Goa’s positivity rate thus stands at 11.85 per cent. 

Health Bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) indicates that while Goa recorded 148 new cases, the daily recovery was 182. This has brought the total active cases to 848 from 882 in the last 24 hours. 

As per the data, no COVID-19 death was reported even as four patients were shifted to the hospital while the remaining 144 are in home isolation. 

The State, in the last couple of weeks, is witnessing a surge in cases. Even if not steep, cases are rising as the State-appointed expert committee had predicted a rise in COVID-19 cases in the State in the months of June and July.
