PANJIM: The latest event venue to be added to Panjim, Raul, will play host to a spectacular party to welcome the New Year 2021.
Rock n Retro, the New Year eve party, will be held at Raul, the event venue and restaurant located off the Panjim-Santa Cruz highway, overlooking the backwaters.
The party which starts at 8pm will be hosted by MC Celbert and will feature Goa’s retro kings Tidal Wave, a band that has created a distinct niche for itself in the State. Tidal Wave has performed at most mega-events in Goa and has a repertoire that includes the latest in Pop, Rock, Reggae, Techno, Bhangra, Goan and Portuguese. Once Tidal Wave starts playing it will be difficult to remain seated in the chair.
In addition, DJ Omi, DJ Sean and DJ Brainwash will spin some great tracks, while guests can win spot prizes and enjoy the fireworks display to ring in the New Year.
Meanwhile, magicians in the kitchen will create the best of dishes, from the simple Goan prawn balchao or a mackerel in lemon butter buerre blanc to beef stroganoff, to name just a few.
Raul is spread over two acres of green property. The venue also an open-air garden, with a seating capacity of approximately 300 on the waterfront, and a secure parking area for 150 cars. Guests interested in enjoying nature can walk around the lawns of the venue.
Due to the pandemic guidelines, guests will have to wear face masks and sanitiser stations will be available. The evening, one can be assured, will be an enjoyable one.
