Goencho Ramponkaracho Ekvott held a litany and performed a Puja with fishermen from Velsao and Hollant at Bat Island, Vasco. For nearly four decades, the GRE holds a litany and Puja on the Island to offer prayer and gratitude to God to protect them from bad weather and bestow them with a good catch of fish. Fishermen in Goa live together in religious harmony and this tradition showcases the unity among the Goan fishing community.
