PANJIM: The much awaited auditions for the all Goa Konkani singing competition “Goencho Avaz” organised by Herald Group and Ulhas Jewellers will be held at Quepem Municipal hall on June 23 followed by Ravindra Bhavan Margao on July 6, in Ponda on July 7, at Art & Culture hall Panjim on July 13. The last audition will be held at Ravindra Bhavan, Vasco on July 14. Auditions at all the venues will be held between 2:30 pm to 5:30pm. The competition is open to all solo and duet singers boys & girls who have completed 15 years & are below 25 years as on August 15, 2019. The artist can send only one entry in each category. The artist will sing the songs with or without accompaniment, organisers will not arrange for same. Singers will be judged on Pitch, Modulation, Rhythm, Quality of voice, Expression and overall presentation. The participant will have to preferably sing any Konkani song of pre-1999 popularised by All India Radio & sung by legendry singers like Miguel Rod, Jacinto Vaz, Remmie Colaco, M Boyer, H Britton, Alfred Rose, Bab Peter, Alexinho, Robin Vaz, Dod de Verna, Kamat de Assolna, Ulhas Buyao, Platilda, Thereza, Delphine, Antonette, Rita, Georgina, Shalini, Molly, Asha Bhonsle & songs from Amchem Noxib, Nirmonn, Bhuyarantlo Munis, Boglant, Jivit Amchem Oxem etc or a song of your choice.
