MARGAO: Margao police has arrested a 19-year old boy from Gogol for allegedly kidnapping a 17-year-old girl.
Both the boy and the girl, who have been brought to Goa from Mumbai by a Margao police team, have been sent for medical examination.
Margao PI Sudesh Naik informed that the police had registered an offense of kidnapping against the boy after receiving a report that the girl had gone missing from her house since February 7. A police team was dispatched to Mumbai after the girl’s parents received information that the duo were holed up in Mumbai. “The police arrested the boy for kidnapping,” PI Sudesh said.
The case is being investigated by PSI Umarye.
