PANJIM: The Porvorim police have registered an FIR against unknown persons for stealing jewellery, cash and cell phones – all worth over Rs 1.8 lakh from a car belonging to a Karnataka native.
According to the police, one Rohit R Joshi, resident of Maratha Galli, Gokak, Belgaum, lodged a complaint stating that unknown persons stole his two mobile phones, cash, gold ornaments valued at Rs 1,80,600 from his car which was parked by the roadside.
The incident occurred between 1.30 pm and 4 pm on February 3, 2024, police said.
The Porvorim Police have registered a case under section 379 of IPC and the case is being investigated by PSI V Naik.
