PANJIM: The Panjim Police have booked an unknown person for allegedly stealing gold ornaments worth Rs 1.9 lakh from a flat at Bhatlem.
According to the police, Rekha Haldankar, resident of Sitabai complex, Bhatlem, lodged a complaint stating that unknown persons entered her apartment, broke open the drawer of the cupboard and committed theft of gold necklace, chain and Mangalsutra worth Rs 1,90,000.
The incident occurred on March 20, 2024, the police said.
An offence has been registered under sections 454 and 380 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the same is being investigated by PSI R Bagkar.
