Goods Carrier Crash Injures Three, Witnesses Allege Overspeeding

A goods carrier driver lost control of the vehicle on the Mapusa-Siolim road while descending a steep slope, leading to a collision with a house’s compound. This unfortunate accident caused injuries to not only the driver but also the accompanying helper and loader, necessitating their immediate hospitalization for medical care.

Eyewitnesses present at the scene vocally alleged that the driver was engaging in reckless overspeeding while manoeuvring through the demanding downhill stretch. This alarming behaviour has raised concerns about the dangers posed by overspeeding on such perilous road sections, prompting a need for increased awareness and road safety measures.
