MARGAO: Maina-Curtorim police have registered an offence of breach of trust against unidentified officials of a wear house depot situated in phase IIIB, Verna Industrial Estate.
The complaint has been registered under section 409 of IPC.
Complainant assistant custom commissioner Ashish Kumar has alleged that in order to comply with legal formalities, the customs authorities had taken into custody a consignment of toiletries in January and kept the same in the central wear house depot at Verna.
He further stated that the goods were checked in February and later when the same were checked in May it was found that goods worth over Rs 34 lakh were pilfered by unidentified officials.
