PANJIM: To commemorate completion of four years in chair (since March 2019), the Pramod Sawant-led government will hold two-day programme on the theme ‘PrashasanTumchya Dari’ (Government at Your Doorstep) on March 17 and 18, wherein the Ministers would personally listen to public grievances.
Informing about the programme, Sawant said that all the 12 Ministers including he will be available at the Deputy Collector offices of all talukas on March 17.
Ministers will be available from 10 am to 1 pm, at the following Talukas: Qupem – CM Pramod Sawant, Sanguem – Vishwajit Rane, Sattari – Mauvin Godinho, Tiswadi – Ravi Naik, Canacona — Nilesh Cabral, Pernem – Subhash Shirodkar, Salcete — Rohan Khaunte, Mormugao – Govind Gaude, Ponda – Atanasio Monserrate, Bardez – Ramkrishna Dhavalikar, Dharbandora – Nilkanth Halarnkar and Bicholim – Subhash Phal Dessai.
“Ministers will listen to public grievances concerning their departments and of the others too,” he said.
The programme, launched in October 2021, aimed at taking government services and facilities closer to the citizens.
On March 18, Goa Civil Service (GCS) and IAS officers will be visiting all 191 panchayats and 14 municipalities to take review of Swayampurna Goem initiative and performance of the Swayampurna Mitras.
Meanwhile, Goa will host eight G20 summit meetings on topics like Tourism, Health, Education, and Sustainability, beginning from April.
The first set of meetings of the Health Working Group will be held for three days from April 17 to 19, at two venues — Taj Convention and Grand Hyatt.
The remaining meetings will be held later in May, June and July, Sawant said.
Chief Minister said that the Smart City works in all the areas of Panjim, which are to be visited by the G20 delegation will be completed before the prestigious event.
