BICHOLIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday stated that the government has directly bank transferred the compensation amount to the Cyclone Tauktae victims’ and planning to compensate for the agricultural losses suffered.
“I have given the instructions to transfer the money directly to their accounts rather than giving cheques,” said CM.
“Till date more than 250 people have directly got the amount in their banks. The government has also compensated a Gaushala at Mayem, where 16 cattle died after they were struck by lightning,” said CM.
He appreciated all the departments and the workers who worked day and night to restore services.
