PANJIM: Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme, Goa government is set to launch ‘Goa ki Baat’ during which each Cabinet Minister will address the public about his ministries. The programme will be aired on every third Saturday of the month.
Speaking to media persons, Sawant said that government will host ‘Goa ki Baat’ every third Saturday of the month. “Each minister will address the public and Swayampurna Mitras on day-to-day governance of the departments under his jurisdiction,” he said.
Mann Ki Baat is an radio programme hosted by Prime Minister in which he addresses the nation. Since the first show in October 2014, there have been total 97 episodes so far.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has thanked Prime Minister for mention of Purple Fest event, held in Goa last month, in his Mann Ki Baat address and said that “it has become an exemplary initiative nationwide”.
Sawant has urged other State governments to take forward the idea of Purple Fest.
