Governor Satya Pal Malik in his message says, “On this day, we celebrate the birth of Lord Jesus Christ, who gave us the eternal message of peace, tolerance, sacrifice, love and brotherhood. Christmas also reminds us of the importance of giving and sharing with friends and family. It is a festival which people from all religions and faith celebrate worldwide irrespective of caste and creed. It is the essence of this festival which unites all the people.”
“On this occasion, let us rededicate ourselves to put into practice the great message of  Lord Jesus Christ to live in peace, strengthening bonds, and work together for the prosperity and glory of our society. And I hope we remember Lord Jesus’s message of peace, inclusion and radical equality,” the Governor  added.
Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant in his message says, “Christmas signifies a time of love, joy and peace. It is a festival which celebrates the birth of Lord Jesus Christ and reminds us to be compassionate towards one another. Christmas is an occasion to propagate the message of love, peace and harmony and consolidate the bond of unity and fraternity.”
Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao in his message says, “It’s Christmas time again and the general atmosphere is of joy and merrymaking.  Whatever today’s media and commercial concerns may have made of Christmas, this feast will always stand for a deeply spiritual reality: God being born in a human family and blessing every member of the human race with his love, peace and joy. This reality makes us recognise in others the image of God and imposes on us the duty to work for the betterment of our fellow beings.”
“May this Christmas find us more involved in doing precisely this that is, creating a society where people of all hues and colours can join hands to make this world a place where justice, peace and understanding will conquer hatred and intolerance among human beings. I wish everyone a joyful Christmas and a New Year full of divine blessings, he added.
