PANJIM: Governor of Goa PS Shreedharan Pillai congratulated Damodar Mauzo on Wednesday on being conferred with the 57th Bharatiya Jnanpith award 2022 for his outstanding contribution towards literature by visiting him at his Majorda residence
The Governor congratulated Mauzo for his great achievement as he is the only second Goan writer to bag the prestigious Jnanpith Award. Governor himself, a writer of 135 books, presented some of his books to Mauzo and in exchange received some of Mauzo’s writings. They both had a fruitful interaction.
