Governor launches Census 2011 operations

PANJIM, APRIL 1 Governor Dr S S Sidhu formally launched the Census 2011 operations in Goa. Mihir Vardhan, Collector, North and Mr A K Wasnik, Director of Census and Chief Registrar of births and deaths called on the Governor, the first citizen of the State at Raj Bhavan to mark the beginning of Census operations 2011 in the State.

Governor Dr S S Sidhu formally launched the Census 2011 operations in Goa.
Mihir Vardhan, Collector, North and Mr A K Wasnik, Director of Census and Chief Registrar of births and deaths called on the Governor, the first citizen of the State at Raj Bhavan to mark the beginning of Census operations 2011 in the State.
About 3500 enumerators and supervisors will be collecting data of household particulars and individual details. The Census operations will continue till May 15, 2010.
Governor complimented the officials and wished all success in massive operations of Census 2011.
Governor evinced keen interest in the Census operations. Mihir Vardhan and Wasnik informed about the details of Census operations. Secretary to Governor Narendra Kumar, Deputy Collector and in charge officer Sabaji Shetye, enumerators were present on the occasion.
Later Collector, Director of Census and other officers called on Chief Secretary Sanjay Shrivastava for enumerating operations.
