Govt appoints 3 new addl collectors

2 in North and 1 in South for better management of COVID-19 crisis

PANJIM: The State government on Tuesday appointed three new additional collectors — two in North Goa and one in South, with immediate effect for better management of COVID-19 crisis. 

Director Information Technology Ankita Anand and Managing Director of Goa Handicrafts, Rural and Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Ltd (GHRSSIDC) Narayan Gad, are given additional posting as Additional Collector North, apart from those existing one, for COVID related duties. 

In South Goa, Special Secretary Home Mekala Prasad is appointed as Additional Collector. 

The government has also appointed five Officers on Special Duty (OSD) to District Collectors, to assist them in COVID management.  Deputy Director Electricity Kuldeep Arolkar and Registrar of Cooperative Societies Arvind Khutkar are posted as OSD to North Goa Collector. 

Whereas, Director Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dipak Desai, Director of Settlement and Land Records Johnson Fernandes and State Registrar Ashutosh Apte, are posted as ODS to South Goa Collector.
