Govt appoints panels for 27 South Goa comunidades

PANJIM: Following the failure of the Administrator of Comunidades to elect new managing committees, the State government has appointed committees for 27 comunidades in South Goa for the period 2016-2018.
In an order, Under Secretary (Revenue-I) Sudin Natu said that comunidades pertaining to Administrator of South Zone have failed to elect new managing committees for the Triennium 2016-2018 and is continuing the previous committees in order to enable the functioning of the comunidades.
Comunidades in Salcete include Assolna, Dramapur, Dicarpale, Sarzora, Sirlim, Ambelim, Seraulim, Duncolim, Cana, Vanelim, Gandaulim, Macasana, Guirdolim, Betalbatim, Benaulim, Sernabatim, Varca, Calata and Gonsua.
The other comunidades are Quelossim in Mormugao and Loliem-Polem in Canacona, Sirvoi, Adnem, Caurem in Quepem, Rivona and Astragar in Sanguem.
