MARGAO: Former Deputy Chief Minister and Goa Forward Party president Vijai Sardesai on Sunday said the State government, which is attempting to sell Goa, needs to be taught a lesson.
Speaking at the eye check up camp organised by Shri Sant Haralayya Samaj, Sardesai said, “The Government does not wish to answer people’s questions on governance. The people have to keep an eye as to where this government is taking our beloved State”.
Margao Municipal Council chairperson Pooja Naik, president of New Market Vendors Association Vinod Shirodkar and Chairman of Samaj Dilip Khote were also present.
“In the history of Goa’s Assembly and politics not one MLA has been jailed in this manner after he questioned the policies of the government. Except for certain politicians, no common man has seen “achhe din (good days),” he said.
