Govt employees excluded from DDSSY

PANJIM: The State Cabinet on Wednesday decided to discontinue the Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana for the government employees as they are governed under existing medical attendance rules.
The Council of Ministers in 2017 had approved inclusion of Government employees in the DDSSY scheme due to demand from government servants.
However, the scheme was optional for the employees as they were also covered under medical reimbursement scheme.
Any employee who wanted the scheme had to approach is head of the department.
Of late, the Department of Health has been receiving many requests from the employees working in different departments who opted for DDSSY scheme to allow them to discontinue the scheme so as to claim medical benefits under medical reimbursement scheme.
