BICHOLIM: After the demand from the Mayem Bhoo Vimochan Samiti the government has speeded up the process of providing provisional declaration to the people Mayem.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant convened a meeting in respect of Mayem evacuee property issue recently. It was attended by Mayem MLA Pravin Zantye, Collector R Meneka, Revenue secretary Nila Mohanan and Bicholim Mamlatdar Pravinjay Pandit.
At the meeting, the chief minister directed the Collector to issue provisional declaration to the people of Mayem. The Collector assured that she would expedite the process. The mamlatdar stated that out of 1141 applications, he has processed/submitted the inspection report of 568 applications to the Collector and he would expedite the process of remaining applications.
The mamlatdar requested for additional field surveyors and vehicles to his office to complete the survey of remaining properties, soon.
The chief minister assured to provide additional field Surveyors and vehicles to conduct the said inspection/survey of Mayem evacuee property.
MLA Zantye stated that he would provide private vehicles, at his expense, to the Bicholim mamlatdar to conduct the survey.
