PONDA: Former PWD Minister and Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar on Friday said that despite several reminders and suggesting several measures, the BJP government has failed to control the spike of COVID-19 positive cases in the State.

Dhavalikar claimed that the Coronavirus in State is spread through the employees working in the tourism sector. To prevent lockdown, Dhavalikar said, “The night curfew should start from 8 pm to 6 am. Similarly COVID negative certificate should be made compulsory to people connected with tourism related activities.”

“If in this way the COVID cases keep rising at an alarming rate and the government fails to initiate strict measures, the State will surely be heading for an another lockdown within a week,” said Dhavalikar while addressing the media persons.

Further, he said nobody in the State want another lockdown but then there are no effective measures to curb the rising cases. There is free movement at the borders. The night curfew is meaningless after 10 pm to 6 am.
